According to a recent flipkart's tweet, Moto Maxx by Motorola Mobility which was referred to as Moto Beast is all set to be launched in India exclusively via Flipkart.

Moto Maxx is the costliest smartphone by the company till date.
However, the retailer has not specified the name of the device in the tweet. Yet, the terms, ‘turbocharged’, ‘accelerated performance’ and ‘nylon fairing’ used in the promotional picture with the tweet are same as those found on the Moto Maxx.

The Moto Maxx sports a highly durable ballistic nylon and comes with an additional layer of DuPont Kevlar fiber under it that is touted to be five times stronger than steel. Additionally, the smartphone comes with water-repellent nano-coating and Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The Moto Maxx features a 5.2-inch QHD display (1440x2560 pixels). It is powered by a 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 CPU coupled with 3GB of RAM.

It sports a 21MP rear autofocus camera with dual-LED flash, along with a 2MP front-facing snapper. Connectivity options include 4G LTE with LTE Cat 4, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, and GSM/ EDGE/ HSPA+. The device runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS.

The Moto Maxx is backed by a 3900mAh battery and comes with Motorola's Turbo Charger that the company claims can provide 8 hours of battery life in just 15 minutes of charging.

After screwing up the Nexus 6 pricing, I wouldn't be surprised if they sell this for nothing less than 50k.

Price was justified.
Best Nexus with top end market specs selling less than all flagships.

OPO 22k
Nexus 5 23-27k
LG G3 30-32 k
HTC One M8- 38k
iPhone 5s -39k
Samsung Galaxy Alpha-35-39k
N6 - 44k
Z3-45k
S5-39-47 k
iPhone 6-53.5k
Note 4-56k
iPhone 6 plus- 62k
Note 4 edge -65-67k

None of the phablet or phone matches it's price performance ratio.nearest rival being Note 4 which exceeds only on low light photography and S pen.

Google made it very clear that it's a one stop high end developer's phone.
Because last time devs preferred HTC ONE M8 GPE to be way better than N5.

Are you kidding?

- The N6 can't compete with the M8 eye in build quality, design, speakers (m8 speakers are still clearer), sound quality, camera, ir remote capabilites. M8 Eye 35k vs N6 45k.
- The N6 can't compete with S5 in camera, battery life, waterproof abilities, ir remote capabilites, smart cover capabilties. S5 32k vs N6 45k.
- The N6 can't compete with the Z3 in camera, battery life, waterproof abilites, build quality, design, sound quality. Z3 45k vs N6 45k.
- The N6 can't compete with the G3 in camera, ir remote capabilites, smart cover capabilties. G3 35k vs N6 45k.

All of these phones do something major better than the N6 and aside from the Z3, all of them are almost 10k cheaper than the Nexus, so why exactly should the N6 command a premium? Newer and faster SOC? Better implementation of Lollipop? Nexus bragging rights? Thats hardly a reason to ask for 10k more when older phones like the S5, M8, Opo are already very capable.

The Nexus 6 shouldn't have to be priced high to compete with these other premium phones which do something or other better. But even then, 37-38k would be ok, not a laughable 45k. Thats almost twice the price of a very capable N5.

None of the phones you have mentioned are phablets which the N6 is. For me, it's competitors are Note 4 and iPhone 6+ and it has both of them beat when it comes to pricing.
I myself chose the OPO to move on to from the G Flex but that was totally based on my monetary situation at that time. Nexus has always been the phone for people who love the stock android experience. Only recently Google started this cheap pricing campaign but that was never what the Nexus line was and now they have returned to their roots of providing a flagship device that appeases only those in love of vanilla Android.
