32k! I didn't check the price. It is quite a shock & a similar scale departure from the original pricing.

Probably, then the only reason that kept G in its original pricing was Redmi & upcoming Android One fear.

Prolly they want to go head on with Sony Z3 or LG, or may be the next Nexus (if that is coming out at all); If you look it specs wise other manufacturers have too priced it in the same region.
