Motorola Milestone v. Google Nexus One

NeXT

Hey Guys!
I'm a little torn apart which Android phone to pick. I have been using iPhone from last 3 years now but right now I'm having issues with my iPhone 3G which was replaced just before the warranty got over. My biggest issue is that the battery doesn't last.

I have seen a lot of people selling Google Nexus One and going through the Google forums, its plagued with problems of all kind but good specs + Camera + Google Product [ meaning they will release the updates first to N1 then others ], iPhone type of design makes me want to get one but no warranty is kinda bad.

Moto Milestone looks like a good option plus has a good cam but specs are quite low considering these days 1ghz proc is becoming the standard but it comes with warranty so that seems really attractive.

Issues:

1) How is the battery life on both the phones ? I use Edge a lot because of Twitter/Facebook etc

2) Your preference ?

3) I would like to upgrade the battery on iPhone 3G with higher capacity battery and want to get the vibrator/silent button fixed. Any idea where to get this done in Bangalore?

Thanks.

Technically theres very little difference between the desire and the nexus one, the desire has the optical tracker and nexus one has the older track ball. Besides this you'll get the beautiful sense ui in desire which you won't in nexus one.
Between the nexus one/desire and milestone it all depends on your requirement. If you are into a lot of messaging, email, chatting etc then the milestone with is hardware qwerty is recommend. If you wan't a lighter device which is a bit faster then nexus one is recommend. I would have personally gone for the milestone because i prefer the hardware qwerty and except for heavy apps you won't even notice the speed difference. Another phone you could wait for is the samsung galaxy s which beats both the above phones in terms of specs but is likely to be a bit more expensive as well when its launched this summer. Cheers mate.

Milestone has a very bad keypad. Thats not the type of keypad one would expect on Rs. 28K+ phone. Desire seems to have a very poor batter life, thanks to bigger screen and faster processor. Legend seems to be sensibly priced and has a slighlty better battery life.

I am currently using the Milestone & it is one of the best phones I have ever had.

As for the Nexus One, it looks much cooler than the Milestone no doubt, but I shied away from purchasing it as it doesn't carry a warranty in India.

:hap2:

Nexus One is no match for the Motorola Milestone..

Go for the Nexus One..

Or you could wait for the HTC Desire to hit stores.. If you are unwilling to wait.. you can find it on ebay.in at a reasonable price.

I'd say milestone.. Now that it can be overclocked as well. It outpaces the N1 at 1Ghz according to Linpack without JIT installed on either of them :)

Can't get better than this.

Frankly, Milestone vs N1 thing is probably a pointless argument anyhow. The Milestone seems to be aimed more towards a corporate customer. The N1 seems to be aimed more at gamers. In reality the only difference I can see between the N1 and the Droid is that the N1 has a faster processor and a trackball and the Droid has a slide-out keyboard and a D-Pad.
