Mounting Coolers Vertically In AMD platform(AM2~AM3)

This seems to a general Irritating problem for ppl using AMD platform.

Due to rectangular base mounting of amd motherboards coolers are usually mounted horizontally(ie fan facig up/Down)

This is a nuisance for me as airflow in my cabinet gets disrupted, and I am getting thor hammer which by itself is large not to mention additional fans.....and it will almost toch the GPU with fans

Is there any way we can mount coolers vertically on AMD platform?
Plz ignore coolers like baram, CM and others which can be mounted in all directions.

Specifically is there any mounting bracket for Xigmatek thor so that it can be mounted vertical?

Or should I make one for myself?

TRUE comes with Rev2 retention kit, which unlike the old molded rectangular model, is adjustable so that you can make the HSF face both upwards and rear. But I doubt you will be able to do a DYI retention bracket for Thor hammer.

Enzotech plastic mount...u can get it at performance pcs....u can turn the heatsink as required.

Yup thats the one...as far as pressure is concerned its not an issue as it has screws, so u can add as much pressure as u want.

Well I'm afraid a plastic mount will not be enough to hold a heavy cooler in the long run.

Yoou can use the 775 fitting and align it anyway you like
