Mov to Divx/xvid conversion

Guys tried using winavi converter 8 to convert mov files to divx and xvid,the video is fine but get no sound with the output file .Wat am i doin wrong?Tried manually changing the audio settings but no go.Pls help.Suggest any other video converters if possible.Thanks

The thing is,ive downloaded some HD trailers from apple.com and i want to play these videos on my dvd player that can play divx/xvid files.But when i tried converting these HD quicktime files using WinAVI,the video gets converted fine but there is absolutely no audio in the output file in divx/xvid.This happens only with *.mov files.

Also to play those videos on ur DVD u need to resize the video's to dvd's

max resolution the wont play at HD resolution even after compressed to

divx or xvid , so remember to resize the videos.

Hey thanks a lot for the reply dude.So i gotta adjust the video res. to dvd size so i guess it would be 480p only.I thought i cud play those hi res video after converting them to divx...but in any case i will try those software uve suggested.I appreciate ur effort in helpin me out.Thanks again.
