So I started my first job in Bangalore. The company's in Embassy Golf Links Park (EGL), which is located between the Domlur bridge and Kormangala.
First things first: I'm hunting for an apartment. My budget is 15k (including water/electricity charges). I'm open to 1BHK or 2BHK, for which I'll have to lasso a friend with similar budget. I've been asking around and these are the areas that came up:
Kormangala
Domlur nearabouts
CV Raman Nagar
Indranagar nearabouts
HSR Layout

So far I've looked at the following properties: Diamond District, Shriram Spandana, and a few places behind the Total Mall (independent buildings/apartments in the gullies). I just can't get a direct contact with one of the owners of a flat in Diamond District. Some friends of mine got a 3BHK (fully furnished) for 35k. But I haven't found that rate till now. 2BHK there was ridiculously quoted as 32k (fully furnished).
Shriram Spandana was a flop. It's far away from the main roads, and the house is constructed in a way that is not equally divisible.
The independent buildings/apartments in the gullies behind Total mall were absolute no-no.

I'll be scouting other locations. But I would REALLY appreciate your insights. Maybe you can tell me the rates that flats are available at these areas right now, and how they are quality wise? I don't want to compromise on the quality of my (to-be) house.

Look in Kormangala . You will get a 2BHK for around 20K . If you can share with a friend that will be a good deal for you .

If you are open to brokers then contact these guys, they are one of the better ones in the area you are looking for--

Mahaveer Enterprises, Murugesh Palya, Bangalore

Add "New Tippasandra" to your list, you will get some good houses there. Also go for HAL Stage 2 and 3. You can get 600-700 sq ft 1 BHK for 12-13K.

@vishalrao: The company's NetApp.

I can find a friend if the total comes out at 25k for 2BHK in the area. What I really need is a spacious clean flat in a good area.

@xtremevicky: could you specify where in Kormangala? There are mostly independent flats here that don't have any security. I asked the rent at Jainheights building in Kormangala...80k for a 3bhk. :scared14:

I'm going to check that broker out.
