Chrome FTW.

Mozilla still havn't done a good job at ram management, stability, and start up speed.

I agree with you on the startup part its too slow. Browser freezed many times when lot of youtube tabs are opened for buffering.

Freeze up is really irritating.

[OT] My aieee bombed, so I'm not expecting any good NIT for ECE or EEE (since I want to pursue VLSI). However my manipal rank was really good, so I chose ECE there! [/OT]

Using the FF 5 beta for the last few days and not entirely satisfied with the performance. Start-up is slow, and there are add-on compatibility issues to go with it. Issues with Flash plug-in too. One way however, to make FF speed-up, is to use a profile without any add-ons, which again kind of defeats the whole idea of using FF !

Dumped Firefox 4 after it refused to work in Sandboxie

Happy with Iron/Chrome now

But will give the FF% one try at least

thans for the heads up Hades :)

Bah! FF4 doesn't work half as good as the previous build. Compatibility issues, the occasional freezes... and now FF5? What are they thinking? :S
To beat IE 9 with more problems to users & system :( big daddy G! associate with FireFox & also has own browser ....think... whom they allow to grow better & better?

Why is it always necessary for Chrome people come and start ranting in FF threads? I get it, you don't like FF, you went on to use Chrome, you're happy... good for you. How is "Chrome FTW / I hate Firefox / It's soooo slow" helps other Firefox users? I'm using Firefox 4 and I admit that it's not as fast as Chrome to start-up, but it's good enough for me. I still haven't experienced Firefox choking up on me and I've tried Chrome and it's extensions and when it comes to extensions, Chrome is nowhere as polished as FF's extensions.

Now that's out of the way... I think I'll wait for the "official" FF5 release, but it would be good to know the first-hand experience from people who have installed FF5... rather than the whole Chrome vs. Firefox vs. Opera debate that every browser thread seem to turn into (wait for it, it won't be long before Opera guys come down shouting here, Opera FTW).

I am not sure whats up with this numbering madness these days...First Chrome started off and now they are already in ver 12, at this rate they will hit 50 in no time...now FF has started chasing the numbers...not sure what makes them think bigger version is better?

I was a Big Firefox Fan but it has quit on me. I'm not even able to get it started for a week now, uninstalled it, re-installed it, updated it to latest beta but still it crashes as soon as I start it. Must be some mallware or something else.

So for the time I shifted to Chrome. Everything in chrome is much better as compared to F/F EXCEPT for extensions even if the extensions exist they're not as stable or as easily manageable.

So let us see what F/F 5.0 can do better compared to chrome. BTW, IE 9.0 is nowhere when compared to these 2, I mean it's not even usable.
