mp3 player and pen drive

hi guys,

my younger brother has been asking for my ipod nano for quite a long time,

and since I have EP630 now I have no problem in giving it to him.

so first I need to buy another one, dont want to spend the same as ipod nano
if some other can give same audio quality, would like to save as much as possible
but certainly not on compromise with the quality.

few options are:

T. sonic 610/630 (have listen to 610, but no idea of 630)
Creative ZEN Micro 4GB/5GB/6GB
allmost all the creative seem good to me (so confused a lot):S

and a pen drive is also needed preferably 2GB or more, had been using T JF150 and was very very good, (that my bro has taken already)

how is Kingston Data Traveller mini Fun (looks very sweet to me:D )

all suggestions are welcome:hap2:

k here's the deal. with the nano, you get a slicker interface and a bigger screen. For some , its an affordable luxury. If you can afford them, get one of those by all means. and i dont mean that for the nano alone. all the players in that price bracket/category ( upmarket flash mp3 players). If sound quality is all that matters, try getting a cowon, but donno where to source one from . the transcend is for those who want a no frills player for not so much cash. sorta like the maruti 800 of mp3 players :p.

dont worry about the 630. its faster, smaller , and better sounding at the cost of reduced battery life. I've done a comparison :)

as regards the pendrive, from the recommends @ quickfire's thread, the sandisk cruzer seems to be your best bet :)

^ Yes that's a good option. I also used a t-Sonic 610 for a year and its was excellent. Great battery life and above average sound quality.

I would stay away from the Nano unless your specifically looking for the style quotient and slimness ;)

For the pen drive, I'm using a Kingston Data Traveler 2GB and no complaints :D

1. The Zen Micro :)
2. Yeah, the Data Traveler II, I got my 2GB drive for 1k, might be cheaper in Mumbai.

Price for Tsonic 630 4GB seems to be high there. IT depot lists it for RS 4240 (shipped).

i just got a damn good deal today T.sonic 630 is for 2700 2gb and the 610 is for 2300.
also if ur planing to buy a pen drive i'de suggest get a portable HDD since a transcend 2gb is for 800 bux and 4 gb is for 1700
and a portable HDD 80GB with an IBM case is worth 2300/-
i bought 2 of them and 1 western digital 120gb with transcend case for 3450bux

but micro 5 gb seems very hard to find
also in a site with user reviews every user complained
about its build quality, severe hanging problem, broken switches etc
HOWEVER every one gives it high high marks for sound quality

^^^^T Sonic 630 4GB = 3.5k :hap2: would be fine,

but I think creative has got better sound quality, that's why I asked any VFM creative one??
