In many forums and articles, press release I read that MS offers OS at various cheap rate for India.

Can I have price list of MS Windows OS and where can I buy Genuine MS Windows OS?

i think you are talking about the starter edition.. quite pointless, better to save and get a copy of xp home at least

I am talking about XP Professional and other Professional Windows OS. I Require price list of all Professional OS. Among them I and my friend can decide which to buy as MS offers Discount on 2 copy of any Single OS.

About a year back when I tried to upgrade Win Me to XP ( there actually is a upgrade offer from MS ! ), and failed, I used the MS website to get a list of MS retailers in Mumbai.
If you live in Mumbai, try Dataformatics Consultancy at Dadar (W). Sorry, I don't have the phone no, I'm sure MTNL ( 197 ) will give you that. When you call say "there's no octroi charge, right ?" - it works.
 
well,he didn't say he needs/has 3DS MAX.So0 no point argueing abt that.In fact u must appriciate him for using genuine s/w.

u need s/w worth thousands when the job it does is several times more valueable.NO ONE uses PS for only image resizing sort of minor things.There r better (and efficient/smaller) alternatives (irfanview/ACDSee etc.).
 
BTW, there is a student edition of many of those expensive s/w you speak of. VS 2005 Express edition is free to download. So is a learner's edition of Maya. If you really need such megabux software, you can pay for it. Guess what. I don't need Photoshop. In fact it is overkill for me. PaintShop pro (much cheaper) is much easier for an amateur to handle, as is GIMP. Expensive s/w is better appreciated by professionals, who damned well should pay. If you make money off software, don't cheat its licensing conditions.

One of my Friend who work in reputed firm, yesterday quote me that XP Professional cost me only Rs.1500/-, when I ask for License he say that the Dealer who sold the software is Genuine and you will get Licenced Only Copy from him.

But here I check XP cost near by 13000/-

Amazing..... Whom I trust Online Dealer or my Friend
 
I think OEM version is only to USE with one hardware/machine, if in future I want to upgrade MOBO, than at that time I again requires to buy New Licence OS of same version.

MS doesn't care about my Budget, my main motto to start this thread is knowing where can I buy Genuine OS and to avoid get ripoff online or with Local Dealer.

After all if I don't afford than there is 3 options for me :-

1) Use Pirated

2) Take a Loan

3) Stop work and open a Vada Pav Stall (here to BMC ask for Licence Fee, but I can manage with there Officers by offering them Chai Pani):(
