See buddy, you can configure the XPS 15 with Full HD screen. :)

As for MSI, the model with 5870 GPU has core i5 480m cpu, and paying 75k and getting a core i5 480m does not make sense.

The "i7" model is not i7. Its core i5 2410M, which is the base sandy bridge core i5 ( You get it in laptops costing 40k even)

So not only is it a bad deal, you will face issues with build quality, heat and other issues. And MSI service support is questionable. And the MSI FHD screen is way inferior to XPS 15 FHD and VAIO Display Plus screen on CB15.

And if you are okay with core i5 2410M, then save 20k and get VAIO CB15. It has i5 2410M, 4gb ram, AMD 6630 1GB, Full HD 15.5 inch screen, HD webcam, Backlit keyboard and much better build quality than MSI + no heat/noise issues. All for 52K

Otherwise configure Dell XPS 15 with B+RG FHD, i7 2630qm and Nvidia GT 540M. . More than the specs, you get peace of mind with after sales and good quality build.

XPS 15 - I7 2630qm, 4gb ram, 500gb hdd, nvidia gt540m 2 gb vram - 78000Rs approx including shipping and delivery.

And no, the GX660R in the US is a different laptop, a beast rather.

The info on the site is wrong. The 2410M is an i5 & not i7. Check before you buy. And as pointed out above, Dell XPS would make more sense.

before making such comments use this laptop once .

i5 480m is fast enough for almost any gaming requirement on this laptop

5870m kicks A$$

HEATING ISSUES?? , WHATS THAT ? . i own this laptop and it has no heating issues at all even when i overclock the gpu by 20% ;) . thanks to the awesome large sized heat sink with a huge fan and dual heat vents this laptop never gets hot.

75k ?? . it comes for 68k with FHD screen ,4GB RAM , i5 480m , 9 cell battery , dvd writer
for 74k it comes with 8gb ram and blu ray drive as an enhancement to the above model
it has dual HDD bays in such a small form factor. BEAT THAT . throw in a ssd or additional drive of your choice and never run out of space like in other laptops in this price range :)

comes with 2 year warranty too.

and last thing. it gives 13.5K 3D marks 2006 score :bleh:

i bought an xps 15 and msi gx660 together , first when i played some songs on the xps i was shocked to hear its sound quality it was great and had lots of bass but when i played songs on gx660 the clarity and loudness was much much better than xps and had adequate amount of bass , then i felt clearly that the bass in xps 15 was overpowered, the whole laptop literally vibrates as if its struck wid an earthquake :P . both the xps15 and gx660 are very close but gx 660 is the winner here.

gaming performance - running crysis 2 at full HD and gamer settings at 40-50FPS :P
COD Black Ops FHD + Max Details 45-55FPS
Shift 2 - FHD and max details 30-60FPS
Battlefield BC2 - FHD and max details 30-55FPS
Metro 2033 - 1600x900 and medium details 30FPS
GTA 4 - FHD + max details - 40-50FPS
so you can see here that this laptop is a beast , only metro 2033 is a game which makes this laptop beg for mercy at highest settings so i run it with medium detailing, rest all latest games can be run at full settings.

buy this laptop , you wont regret it :)
