CPU/Mobo MSI K8N neo 4 platinum queries

Guys I have found this mobo for 8K plus tax...good deal or no?

It has a BIOS reset button, which seems neat as i plan to OC (finally thanks to some pioneers here like rahul, switch, deepa:bleh: , funky etc......)
Is this good? (the button instead of the regular switch, its also conveniently located..

I don't plan on SLI or crossfire...am one of the poorer guys here u see so I dont' need an SLI board but felt the A8N-E wasn't upto my standards... I looks for solid build qual above anything else..

Can anyone-
1. suggest alternatives or is this a good choice and should I finalise..
2. suggest where I can get a better price
 
Again i as i told the other guy the other day, go with Kidoman's Neo 4 Platinum SLi... It has a few better features, and if im not mistaken, higher VCore setting.
Go with Kido's Neo4 Platinum SLi for just 9k :hap2:

DFI Lanparty UT Ultra-D. Enuff said :P
 
That board does not deserve the primium it costs. Its MSI but its nothing special.

Better get DFI or you could strike some deal with kido about his SLI.

There's nothing better in build quality than DFI now... The ultra-d is way better built than either the msi nf4 or the crappily built a8n series(other than an32 and premium).
 
you have 3 choices -

MSI K8N Neo 4 Platinum Motherboard (Socket 939) = Rs. 8000 + tax
DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D Motherboard (Socket 939) = Rs. 9100 all incl.
ECS KN1 Extreme Motherboard = Rs. 8000 all incl.

MSI
Pros: Great Reputation, Rock Steady, Rock Stable, Rock Solid, Good OC'er, Great Bundle, Many Features & Great Performance.
Cons: None IMO.

DFI
Pros: Many Features, Excellent Bundle, Great OC'er & 6 USB Slots on Back Panel.
Cons: Stability Issues, Complex BIOS & Costly.

ECS
Pros: Many Features, Good Bundle, Great OC'er & Fan for cooling Capacitors next to CPU Socket.
Cons: Unknown Reputation & Availability can be a issue.
 
Can't comment on the lanparty nf4 but the DFI NF3 250 board that I've been using is a lot more stable than the older asus k8n-e deluxe board that I had before.
 
Does the DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D board have optical/coaxial output for audio ?

Is S/PDIF-out connector for the coaxial out ?

Is there an optical connector also ?

(For the people who have the Logitech Z-680/Z5500:ohyeah: :ohyeah: )
 
But the manual says:

hehe vandal welcome to the club :D ..... anyways if u like to do normal OCing like me then MSI sud fulfill ur requirements ...... and if u want to go to crazy OCing go for ultraD ...... premium is also not a bad board :D .....

There's a header on the board but the optical out is not preset. How does it matter anyway :S. Coax is equally good and cables are cheaper :P.
