740G is quite outdated chipset.

lowest you can go is 760G which has ddr3 support for the same cpu.

Just for the sake of info, but you i hope you knew that already.

760g is rarely available generally 740g,780g,785g,880g r available.

this thread is only for market section not for discussing which should be lowest spec. mobo?

even now 785g outdated 880g comes.

this doesn't mean not to sell 740g.
 
i didn't mean that. i meant who will buy an outdated chipset if he can shelve 800 more and get a latest one.

i didn't want to come to this. By all means this is no mean to crap your sale. Anyway members deserves to know shouldn't they. :)

this offer is only for those who want a slightly better mobo than entry level nvidea chipset.it has 4 sata ports compared to nvidea chipset(only 2).it also has 8 channel sound,amd 740g+sb700 offers better compatibility with amd cpu's.

nvidea 6025/7025 r most common chipsets which are even older than 740g.
