My office commuting takes about 2.5 hours to and fro through office shuttle. I want something to pass away my time

MSI Global ? Computer, Laptop, Notebook, Desktop, Mainboard, Graphics and more

How good is this laptop for browsing, movies and torrenting
How good is the battery backup

do you recommend it for about 22+ K, are there any other better alternatives

i like this except i would have preferred a dual core cpu rather than single core

but if you just want something to pass away the time why not get a PMP (Cowon D2, iPod Touch 2g/3rd gen) etc for less cost?

ejjactly. me too would recommend ipod Touch or an iPad to pass time while traveling. Pure Fun!

I just got the laptop 4 hours back, ordered it through ebay 2 days back. I must say It's wonderful, if you compare it with normal 14" laptop, Very thin and light. If you need to get a laptop for the normal uses then its really good. But using it in Office shuttle may be a little problem, 'cause it is still a 13" notebook no matter how thin and light it is. But seriously I would recommend this over a 10" netbook anyday.

Will vote for i-pad or Notion Ink Adam(Yet to be launched). Though i did see this lappy personally yesterday and its good. Also you can get it cheaper through ebay.

I got this recently and the best feature of it is that it is the only true laptop I have ever owned. In the sense it doesn't heat up at all even if you're using it on the bed so you can really keeping it on your lap without gently toasting the family jewels.

For entertainment purposes ya the screen, portability and processing power are great, the backup time not so much. Have a look at the msi wind u610 i think. Should be launching soon.
