MTNL and Utorrent

Hey Guyz ,
I had been using Airtel 512 unlimited for last 3 years and use to get constant 65 sumthing speed for downloading and 35-40 for upload.
I had to chnage to MTNL. I am on MTNL 512 unlimited. Using any download manager i get speed up to 200+kbs while downloading and Max upload speed i have seen so far is 25kbbs.

the problem is when i download using torrentz i get speed anything between 1-24kbs , mostly it is around 15kbs.

sum1 plz tell me the problem , tried unistaliing utorrent and even re installing windows .
Plz help.
 
First things first...the speed you are getting is more than your plan speed, so consider yourself lucky, logically you should never get more than 64 kBps (capital B) ideal (discounting the burst speeds)

Now coming to torrentz, it has list of public trackers and hence there are chances that you will get lower speed. Try private trackers and you should get full speed.
 
Forward your ports... check seeds on the torrent. With private trackers i am stretching out my connection but with public trackers say .. TPB , i too am getting just average speeds.

yes i am thank ful for the xtraa speed i am getting but the thing is i download only from torrents , and i dont get speed in torrents , like ryt now i am gettig 2kbs( totoal downlaod speed for both the torrents ),

I guess wt i am trying to ask is does MTNL have some problems with torrents or is it just this sumthing in my laptop ?

Any suggetsions wt ports sh;ld i forwars on beetle 450 ?( wireless modem given my airtel,)
 
apart from that there should be also sufficient seeders to look out for.

if you are having just 1-2 seeders just giving speeds of 4-5kb then hunt for private trackers.

still end of the day no. of seeders matters which help the torrent go ticking n stable speeds.

your problem is with trackers.. You should get 60+ speed easily on private torrents[even more is quite possible]..

If you are using public trackers..

Try setting the Upload speed and Upload slots = 1 for public torrents...
