MTNL Broad Band - Frequent Disconnections - Help Please

yesterday there was lot of disconnections & slowing today no such issue got reply from mtnl that there was issue with server & all fixed now.
 
Problem still persists. Could not connect the whole evening with any browser. STRANGELY ... my u-torrent downloads are continuing perfectly ! Can anyone explain this dilemma. Ping results also fine.

utorrent dht and peer exchange run on ip addresses, change ur dns servers and try.
 
hello all,

yeah MTNL been doing something strange the past few days, routing changes and then at times, everything on the router looks fine, but there is not browsing or pings. all i could do is try to ping yahoo, it could reach yahoo but unable to resolve host name and get replies from yahoo.com. i have had no frequent disconnection issues but this is strange as this happened last night as well
 
Since last night, my connection has become pretty bad with websites taking huge amount of time to load:annoyed: I thought it was a temporary problem and would be fine by morning but still its same situation with even opening Google taking ages and this when I had to book tickets on IRCTC:facepalm:

I got a Dlink DSL-2750U and I have been using OpenDNS. G.dmt modulation is by default enabled and following are the SNR & Attenuation values.

Anyone else facing the same problem:confused1:
 
Cheap Sterlite modem supplied by MTNL (Can be found on ebay for Rs 600) works wonders. I had the same frequent disconnection problem with D-link(Supplied by MTNL)/Beetel (Supplied by Airtel which I left) modems, but havn't had one disconnection in last 4 months!!!!!

Ask your lineman to replace your modem with Sterlite brand.
 
^ What are you talking here, the problem is from mtnl dns lookup and routing nothing to do with which brand of router
 
Looks like the issue has been resolved:unsure: While typing this post, I was in-between testing the connection by opening different websites and just before i was about to complete the post, everything started acting normal:) (So had to start allover again:p)

I'm on the 888plan and following are the speedtest and pingtest results.

Ya brother.The net looks fine now.But ebay still not accepting 10% coupon is that worrying me :bleh:.
Me too on same plan and i guess this plan is no longer available now.
 
...again something up-gradation or fixing work was at Prabhadevi- Dadar - Server Center- Main Exchange (told by MTNL officer) & will fix soon... now it's fine here .. hope will last ....
