^^ Two of the plans are for 384kbps.

I am currently on the 320kbps unlimited plan that charges me 546 rupees (incl tax) per month and has a useless landline that I never use. :P

I think I'll shift to the 384kbps plan soon...

The plans are only meant for Delhi as of now... :(

Will switch once they are made available in Mumbai... :)
 
this is broadband?

we need a proper definition of broadband. Some european countries have made it mandatory for ISPs to give 1Mbps connection minimum or nothing.
 
MTNL connection is actually very reliable once you get it so it is good for people needing economy plans.
I am myself on 320kbps plan paying 395 + taxes per month.

PS: I am getting 1 Mbps on this is an entirely different story :P
 
MTNL does deliver good services,i myself use a MTNL broadband 1 Mbps unlimited plan and have never experienced any down time(and i am in Delhi) and as comp@addict said Isp's should really step up up the game now.its like they are giving plans so that we download only illegal stuff and not do something worthwhile such as internet gaming! ,even on my 1 Mbps connection i can't play fifa 11 without lag!and BTW i get my 1 Mbps connection absolutely free!:ohyeah::ohyeah: because of my father being an army officer.
 
Price is really high I think. 384 Kbps for 450. I am using 1 mbit line for 950 here at kolkata. 120 to 125 kbps download and 90 to 100 upload.

I have changed ISPs thrice before switching to MTNL.

I had Net9Online, then in2cable and then Spearhead... All had downtimes for atleast 2 days per fortnight and during the rains the situation was horrible.

I had to go without the net for days at a stretch in monsoons. :@

They gave me 512 UL plan for almost the same price that I pay for the 320 UL from MTNL but there was no peace of mind. :cry:



MTNL has absolutely no issues except the initial hiccups during setup of a new connection. MTNL hai toh sahi hai!! :yahoo:

Thanks for the rep... :).... actually yesterday was a great day for me... i completed thousand posts, my rep batches got increased from two to three and i received an infraction... :P

The 3G 50 is good enough for basic usage. Other plans might or might not be good depending on your budget and needs.

EDIT: Just deleted a line... It was not needed... :ashamed:
