The 3G 50 is good enough for basic usage. Other plans might or might not be good depending on your budget and needs.

@ Hades: How come you have lost one green dot today?? I thought that reputation never went down... :O

Make 1mbps up-down minimum :(
Hahaha!! That is not gonna happen so soon bro... :P

As per TRAI:

Broadband is an always-on data connection that is able to support various interactive services, and has the capability of a minimum download speed of 256 KbpsÂ.

1mbps too is too slow for a "broad" band.
They should be renamed "narrow" band.
Guess the trai is still living in the dial up era.

But people who are still using Kbps plans then for them 1mbps plan wud be a huge upgrade... :)

But yeah i agree wid you that for people who download HD movies and games for them 1Mbps would be too slow... :)

Even now i get about 2 to 3mbps on mtnl 3g whereas i was using reliance 3g i was getting 11mbps speeds. Once you see those speeds and the time and resources you save you would not want those 256kbps speeds.

Yeah but 3G plans are really expensive... I know that Reliance is providing 2GB for Rs.98 plan... But if you would do some math

2GB x 20 = 20 GB (for Rs.980) according to me paying 980 fro 20GB data is really not worth... Currently i am using a 384KBPS UL plan for which i am paying 550 bucks... I can download 120GB Data Per month if i would download stuff 24x7... :) i know that keeping a rig 24x7 on would affect the electricity bill... but still i would end up paying less for 120GB Data... :)

Im using the 749 UL plan ,month, with 24x7 download, ive started downloading from the 12th of January and ive download like a total of 240GB till today, how do you get 120 gb so fast with such a plan,i find it hard to believe.

on reliance 3g my download rate was 4gb per hour and with mtnl 3g it is 1gb per hour.

now ignore the cost of data packs and tell me how much have i saved ? :bleh:
