Is the meaning of * and # printed on that page?

Seems strange that they are selling Unlimited monthly plans for 2 different prices - 999 and 1650.
Seems like these are the speed capped unlimited plans of Aircel.

* means E-Recharge & Online Recharge Available
# means Promotional Scheme Valid for 3 months i.e 22 Feb to 22 May
Speeds wont be capped only the quota would be unlimited, generally 100GB, 200GB or 800GB which gets reset once you use it completely. previously 4500 plan was Unlimited 6 months 800GB

Can someone please buy one and ship it to me in blore...I will pay you 200 bucks additional per month for your effort:)
 
I wonder there would be a Soft cap unofficially like 100Gb or Speed throttling?
But seriously *unlimited is a dangerous marketing term especially for wireless. If users start leeching their network performance will degrade.
I feel they should have advertised more properly.
 
Generally they put 200GB as cap for unlimited. I used to have the connection, 6 months unlimited for 4.5k
Hope this one is truly unlimited, if not 200GB cap also fine :)
 
1650 is their general recharge for 3g pack.
999 is just temporary.
heard they are going to raise the speed of 3g. maybe testing the stress of the 3 g network

Agreed. The 1650 plan though it mentions unlimited, yet there is a cap of 50gb. It would have made more sense if they mention the actual volume of data provided rather than mentioning unlimited and capping the data limit. I expect the cap on this plan to be around 100gb.

Its 1199 now and its permanent pack. Can someone post their experiences with MTNL 3G.
Planning to use it in Mumbai as well as in roaming.

Indoor coverage is very poor. During rainy season outdoor 3g coverage is also f%&$up. Not good idea to use it. Though because very few people use mtnl u get good speed at some crowded place like Mumbai railway station compare to airtel.

Very unreliable connection drops off several time speeds is around 1.5Mbps
