MTNL Mumbai Speed issue

Hello friends,
I have taken a plan which should provide 2 mbps speed till 8 gb thereafter 1 mbps but i never got 2 mbps neither 1 mbps speed.
complained sveral time to 198 but all in vein connection works perfect for a day and then again same issue.
Facing this issue from last month.
From last few days am talking to my area in-charge he just says he will inform the technician and nothing else.
Currently am getting only 0.20 mbps instead of 2 mbps.
Now am highly confused what to do.
would highly appreciate if you all can provide some assistance in this issue.

This are my line stat as of now.
The attenuation rate remains constant most of the time .
Regarding snr rate it remains in this range 90 to 120.
Attainable rate used to remain at 7240 kbps but today its at 8240 kbps.

welcome to Mtnl aka (Fraud band ) Yup i am mtnl user as thats only connection in my area that has 100% always on with super slow speed :XD

Mtnl recently have started throttling there connection.

dude check your speed @ youtube or any video site before 7:30 am ...it be fine and laod.
after 8:00 or 8:30 it does gets reduced to 0.2 Kbps lol and no video will load. tho speed test will show u 2 mbps.

illustrate babu @ mtnl don;t understand showing speedtest result is of no use if my youtube video don;t play during afternoon period.

All eyes on reliance jio whenever it launches hopefully this December after that i am ditching this fraud band for good untill then u are out of luck

Keep on making complaint and make a written complaint to your telephone exchange when there engineers coem to your home say them i will not trust speed tests result show me if youtube video can be played in hd without lag.

^ right. Speeds are lousy until approx 6.30 pm, then pick up.

Strangely, when downloading a large file using a (any) browser speeds are really bad, but if I download the same file using a (multi threaded) download manager like FDM I get full speed.

Honestly i am also waiting for reliance jio hope they provide decent speed at decent cost then the first thing i will do is throw this MTNL out of my sight :D .
According to me it seems that they are not having proper infrastructure to manage the load of connections thats why speed are inconsistent.
I asked them to change my port but as usual the same reply " issue with line ,we'll check line " :p .
For me connection works ok till 12 pm after that i get 50 % of speed and then after 3 pm back to normal and then again slow speed after 6 pm.
 
I was Mtnl customer for quite a few years , finally when I realized that on my YouTube , HD videos would never play , and I was on the 999/month truly unlimited 2mbps plan (taxes extra) , I finally switched to my local cable guy at 500/month truly unlimited @1mbps and YouTube plays at 1080p on my s4 smoothly .
 
You are lucky in my area no other ISP :/
hathway is there but they never show up to install the equipment even after several call and then finally i had to cancel it :(
 
MTNL used to be best broadband service provider specially for people like residing in areas where other private providers don't have much presense. However there services have deteriorated considerably since last few months. They have an excellent infrastructure in place. The only reason that I can attribute to this sudden change is probably some foul play by Reliance Jio. MTNL has largest base of broadband customers and RJIL may be eyeing this base.
