No unlimited plan in Triband yet. I have the Night Unlimited plan. Can do about 400MB/night. Speeds while surfing are good. Can listen to yahoo radio while using google earth.
I would advice going for any ADSL connection rather than cable-modem, as in ADSL, you can do port forwarding, so all your torrent/ emule/ gnutella etc will work fine.
With cable modem, if the ISP has blocked any ports, I doubt theres much one could do about it.

hi zhopudey how come u can download only 400mb per night bittorrent i download 75-80mb/hour and download managers 80mb and more per hour so bittorrent in the range of 500-600mb

right now i am using sify broadband , i paid 3000/-{including taxes and sevice} for 6mths, for128kbps with 150mb daily downlaod limit, and unlimited download between 10pm to 8am, i never had any problem in service.
Whereas mtnl seems to be costly , with unlimited download period from 0am to 8am. thats not convenient
what do u do get up from sleep and set the download.
should have been from 10pm , it would heve been good.

Yep you can always use schedulers to manage that.
I would say that the BSNL home500 plan is good too. It has 2GB limit and night unlimited. Its a different matter that BSNL nights start at 2AM.

hmmm... ya if going for triband and if your into donwloading then go for the night unlimited..

and surprisingly you wont be disappointed! cause triband is really very good..

and how much you can download will depend on your download speeds..

most people would do around 500-700mb..

i can do around 750 of ftp`s in 8 hours :D..

on torrents its usualy around 650-700 max.. hmm

i dunno guys but my speed seems to have increased a bit ... cause b4 i could just touch 700mb and now on ftp i can do almost 750! .. which is great.. and once i did 800 mb too. last week.. :D..

Well if iqara is available in ur area then take the night angel plan (10-10 unltd. downloads 256Kb/s.....sunday whole day free.)

I do about 1.8-2 GB/day (12AM to 10am and 10Pm to 12am---total of 12hrs)
and 3GB on weekends (sat 10pm to mon 10am).

The speeds i get are

BT: 25-29KB/s
Massd'loader: 23-25KB/s

I have scheduled bitcomet to start at 12, and PC to shutdown at 8am. So its not a problem.

I hope you've also scheduled the telnet script to reboot the router too, or you're operating the router in bridge mode, or else you gonna get a huge bill :ohyeah:

Triband users are supposed to restart thier router(by turning it off then on) after 12:00 am and do the same thing before 8am to avail free NightMB's, or otherwise the amount of bandwidth u used during the night gets counted.
Telnet scripts can also do the same without having to physical turn off the router.

But, since u say, u'r Free MB's are remaining, i guess it would be OK, maybe its different for Mumbai users.Delhi users(which includes me) have to do this.

in mumbai mtnl reset thier servers ever since that hada crash during the first week of october..
so you do not need to reset your router anymore..
though people still do to keep a track of how much was used and all..esp now that the session history is back..
