when there is no rain ppl say why isnt it raining, when it rains then we say why the heck is it raining

the crib is not about the RAIN the crib is about our BASIC local amenities which are "promised" to be fixed each year ....and a continuous rainfall makes a joke outta them. roads flooded ? gutters overflowing ? whatever was the BIG deal of the improved drainage system and so many crores of rs. to be spent fixing it and the statements like "mumbai is ready for rains" , this is not even heavy showers.......medium non-stop showers and there goes the system....

p.s. : i personally love rain :D and am glad its raining cats n doggies.

p.s. : the thread title is confusing :)

Mods pls change thread topic to something appropriate ! :D

Raining continuously since morning here, at Cuffe Parade....showers hav gotten heavier in the last 2 hours.

Water gets clogged only on the side of roads...and not the main road.

Pretty cold here...the fan has been off the whole day !!

my house is in east-west direction, so the wind actually travels thru! chilled breeze for sure....windows closed , especially after i returned home drenched :S

also things are worse at the sealink....i think i made the good decision of not going over there today .....phewww

ahh. let the Mumbaikers live in North India at this time for 1 week and see how the views on rain change :P

thank god atleast we're getting light showers too now.

Central Railway runnin 1 hr late...acc. to a News channel.

&

it seems the Runway was shut for 2 hrs...not sure though....

BMC has issued an ALERT

Back from Malad and the whole place was literally flooded. Water got into a lot of shops and societies ! The rains have stopped though so let's hope things return back to normal.

Was playing in rains after really long time....than went on flooded road.....asking for lifts....and waitin for gals to ask us for lifts..bad luk no progress...

But njoyed it...

was at mulund/powai whole day! Rained continously but thank god there was no flooding nor was there any traffic except for one small snarl which usually happens cause the JVLR is still under construction. but seriously mulund to jogeshwari in 35 mins in the rains is no joke lolzzz! i guess some parts of mumbai are better prepared that others.

And on a side note, no matter what the administration does, a low lying area is bound to get flooded even with medium showers.

Had to drive in 1.5 ft water. Almost felt like the car would be a goner today. Horns died out and the brakes seem weak. Mechanic is gonna have a field day tomorrow.

Travelled from Kharghar to CST via Car in the morning. Watter logging at a very few areas. There was heavy rain from Chembur till Dockyard Road and it got slower as you went south. Seemingly areas near Regal Cinema didnt even get rainfall till late in the day.

Travelled by train to Lower Parel and back and then back in Car from Badhwar Park/ Cuffe Parade to Kharghar around 3. Lots of rains, still not too waterlogged.

Areas that flood every year were the ones that were effected the most.

The Met. dept. issued a warning and expecting rains, nonetheless, spot on - it was a sunny day today till about 5 in Kharghar :P

Mumbai has too much rain and Delhi/Chandigarh has too little. I have to endure 37~38 deg room temp even in evening/night.
