I've been using MTNL for like 10 years. Service was quite good, but lately frequent disconnections and lousy speeds during the day. The line is quite bad, voice landline calls have a lot of interference/buzzing noise. Complained, but did not help much.

Some of my neighbours have opted for 7Star via Balaji Internet. They say it's quite good, at least till now. Balaji also provides cable services to my society so service is likely to be 24x7. Rates are a bit too good to be true, my neighbour opted for 30GB @ 10Mbps followed by 1Mbps for rest of the month truely unlimited, they paid Rs 3500 for a year. 15GB @ 10 Mbps (+ 1Mbps) is just Rs 2500 per year.

Anyone has any comments on 7Star or Balaji ? Before I change from MTNL.

Edit : Is the TP-LINK TL-WR841N the best buy for < approx Rs 1000 ?
Edit : Is the TP-LINK Archer C20 the best buy for < approx Rs 2000 ?

Around 6 months ago I changed from 10+ years of MTNL to balaji/7 star at goregaon w.
I have plan of 4mbps unlimited no fup for 900 per month.. and above that youtube streams over 20 mbps. (love it with chromecast)
and few torrents if someone on same network of 7 star I get speed of over 10 mbps.
Downtimes I rememer around couple of hours a month in total which is not bad compare to MTNL.

I am using 7 star internet since the year 2000 (almost since it started the services in our locality) it is good speed is stable and highly reliable, besides due to local people there is very less downtime and almost immediate service / support

Is anyone getting it for the rates mentioned in the OP ? Seems too good. Wondering if they will jack up prices after the first year.

Normal torrent speeds are very high so no need of dc hubs.. if good seed torrent I easily get 1mbps thats 15 min for movie download... (700-800mb)

DC Hubs are now slowly on their way out with torrent caching services like torbox. However, can you tell me where in Sion? I know someone who stays near SIES and would want to shift to this ISP.

Now awaiting the same in Ghatkopar :nailbiting:
