Was the CD Drive the primary boot drive? And did it have a bootable disk inside??

I am assuming your SSD is the connected to the primary SATA port or the port that reads SATA-I on the motherboard. Connect it and try it again.

No, I dont have SATA-1 in my X58A. But what u mean by primary port, do I need to connect it as a slave drive so that windows will write the BOOT.ini in some other drive? Wont windows able to do it in the SSD? Now my SSD is connected in Location 0, Channel 1.

Windows installer is asking me to insert the drivers for the SSD.(No I am not in RAID, but AHCI). Then it also says it cannot format the SSD.

But, What I did still now is, I just IGNORED all this and successfully installed the Windows 7 in Samsung F4, but the SSD works fine as a logical drive now. I can able to formet the SSD and Use it under Windows. But Is there any way that I can install my OS on SSD? I have even changed the SATA Mode from IDE to AHCI. But no use.

Someone please guide me to install windows 7 in my SSD.

this should not happen. I installed my Win 7 on SSD. DO one thing remove all the drives and make sure it is in master Drive slot and try and install.. there i no rocket science it was as like installing on any HDD

Many times you need to just have the SSD installed as a HDD and all other drives disconnected before you can install the OS. You can try that.

Friends, I did all as you suggested, but no use. Removed all my drives and booted Windows from my DVD rom. But the SSD is not even listed in the drive option(Where to install). I tried the same in IDE mode and AHCI mode.

My BIOS finds the SSD in IDE and AHCI mode. But Winodws Installer doesnt recognize the SSD and shows like "No drives were found. Click Load Driver to provide a mass storage driver for installation."

I even tried the SSD with standard SATA(blue) and Gigabyte SATA(blue), different cables, still now no use.

My question is, Sanforce has any drivers for its SSD controller, so that I can try that too?

Going to check with another copy of Windows 7 now.

Did you by any chance try the SSD as a logical drive before the first installation ? Because some of the older Boot data (generally RAID metadata) is left on it and you need to do a secure erase. Naga had the same issue with one of his 120gb drives. Once he did teh secure erase, the drive showed up properly and worked flawlessly.

24th received the SSD and 27th you reduced the prices. :(
@jennifer123, It doesn't have any drivers. Just you have to connect SSD to system and select sata mode to AHCI then install

As yours is not detecting on Windows 7 install do the secure erase.

Use the Partedmagic 5.5 (latest) ISO and select system tools --> Erase Disk

Select the 4th option "internal : secure erase"

Fine. Downloaded Parted Magic 5.5 and a new Windows 7 boot. Will try these today and update the status. Thanks for all your help guys.

Any chance of 16GB version to reappear in the stock soon?

The 16GB will take some time as Mushkin seems to be out of it at their end also. PMing you the details for the 120GB Callisto Deluxe.
