Heylo friends,

I think many of us own the Mx 5021.. so i thought of making a psot where v can share details, tips, tweaks n all etc etc.. about the speakers :bleh:

n in general wat all tweaks u do to get the best u can.. wat softwares u use.. etc etc..

post anything u want to related mx5021 !! so go on... :hap2: lez share the knowledge ;)

i will start wid my speaker and subby placements...

here they r..

First take off the polythene covers of the satellites.

And are you able to use remote properly as you have placed the wired controller at a high height level. the remote sensor is below the volume control knob.

actually i dont use the remote a lot lol..

n cant i keep the polythene covers on it hehehe :p

n the remote works when i use it while standing or jus raising my hand :)

n my subby is placed in a corner only na??

Your setup looks quite uncomfortable. How do you sit with your cabinet jutting out like that?
I guess the plastic covers are for protecting the speakers from dust but it would be better if you could remove them when you are using the speakers. Enclosing the speakers like that would incur the wrath of audio purists :). It's hard enough to get a proper stereo effect. Covers would spoil the directionality of the sound. People also recommend removing the grill that covers the speakers and sub to get better sound.

lame setup... looks like u lack science basics even. The sound waves are directional - meaning they propagate in the direction the Driver(speaker) pushes them to. u have the propagation perpendicular to the wall - meaning the sound frequency goes straight towards the wall in front of them & not properly intersecting/overlapping each other which is important for proper stereo mix. The two sattelites are far apart & u will miss any higher frequency range if u sit close to the table mentioned in the PIC.

Thats why placing of the speakers is THE MOST IMPORTANT other than getting good speakers. Tilt ur speakers at an angle where there line of intersection is where u sit. hope im clear.

also as already mentioned - remove the plastics man - keep these classy speakers out of cheap deeds  they spoil the fidelity of the sound.
Yes sydras -- removing grills boosts the higher freq. range, really noticable with high end speakers.

oh k..

got ya..:ashamed:

@sydras.. yea man it is a bit uncomfy but now what can i do..

i didnt realise dat while buyin the table :(

but how do i wall mount den at an angle lol... and if i keep den on the table they will b too close don't u think??

P.S.: i removed the cover :p hehe hey n u guys also post pics na... how u all hav placed ur babies :p

hey torjan.. urs n my setup of the speakers are both almost same na hehe...
acha
even u got a comment.. that its not placed properly..
"Radeon Wrong position of speaker satellites...nice speakers though."
but how do u put it at an angle on the wall??

oh lolz..

but i got dat comment when i wall mounted it lol.. jus like u :( hehe..

is my placement ok enough??

but i still cant understand how to wall mount at an angle untill the wall is tiltled at an angle also :p

look for the attached pic to see how the speakers can be set at an angle...
