MX5021 sub's abt to bite the dust

Problem No. 1: The bass of the sub is diminishing gradually. :( I used to keep the bass levels at 2 usually. Now it is at 5 and has the same soothing bass which it'd earlier when the level was 1 [extreme low i.e].

Problem No. 2: The wired controller does not respond when I switch to treble/bass modes and the corresponding blue LED keeps dancing between those modes and the main volume. This problem doesn't show up sometimes.

I really wonder whats with these new MX5021s. :(

Saddest part: Rashi Peripherals for Service/Warranty claims. :'(

Shall be calling up the Surat RP Tech peeps.

OMG......pls do this.... u will need to demosntrate to THOSE people to see the problem....dont just check in those speakers for repairs...if u have a portable music device / discman / ipod / cellphone will the 3.5mm if u dont then beg / borrow / steal take it there and MAKE those people see the thing do its thing that its not supposed to do.....:bleh: if they still say its normal or there is no problem ask them to check their other units right there and there....all the best and hope the issue is sorted out asap
 
^Yeah will be doing it. Taking a friend's ipod along. Lets see what turns up else sTALKEr to the rescue [read Mumbai Rashi :P].
 
hmmmm my bass control botton (that tiny thing) has become a bit loose :(... its an old mx5021 though. I think I may have the same problem as you going forward. keep us informed about any updates on solving your problem.

Does the voltage fluctuations affect these speakers?? :huh:

There used to be voltage drops during the night and I have not bothered to connect these to the UPS before and neither do I have one right now.

I mean the speakers've started reproducing the low freq sounds as usual now.

Meanwhile I rang up Rashi and they'd asked me to bring the system to their office on Monday evening [which stands canceled if this's normal].
 
Btw gannu, I gt my Mx5021 RMA'd twice, first time was a Sub bass problem (It sounded like the cone was torn) the next time the thing stopped responding after a voltage fluctuation....

Luckily i got ITdepot to do it for me since i bought it from there... they handled the entire process.

Now my warranty is over and im running it off a UPS.. hoping nothing happens
 
Update: Rashi peripherals were kind enough to consider my case. The Mumbai Customer Support Team Head hpnd to reply to my mail and forward them to a couple of Surat Branch Members.

[They did not mention anything abt replacing the system though and neither did I expect that in the first place. :lol: They said upon inspection, the necessary acton would be chosen.]

But since the speakers have started functioning as usual, I did not want to take it to Rashi. Mailed those guys abt the same. :)
