but y this issue happened in first place? my socket or the whole connection of electricity in my room has no earth wire.. but if it does not have a earth wire, y i didn't get any shocks from day 1 i purchased the lappy..

i think i should report it to dell.. cos as someone said it can be due to over heating of gpu + board.. may be..

secondly, y the hell m1330 heat so much.. i mean i have to leave AC on just for Mr. M1330.. or is it fine that it should heat..?? well its monsoon season and its not that hot either.. we are all fine with just a fan in home..

or may be its normal that it heats this much.. i should get used to it..

Firstly,if you don't have the earthing done in your house then your sitting on a hypothetical time bomb. Sooner or later someone WILL get fried. Not only is this dangerous to the lives of your family members it is also illegal and dangerous to those living in the same building. I suggest that you get this resolved immediately for the safety of your family and neighbours.

Secondly, a lot of factors could contribute to your laptop shocking you. My prediction is that this problem will arise in the monsoon and will not be seen during the dry months. This is probably because of moisture within your walls and the electrical wiring. This results in several small short circuits forming and leakage of current within your electrical network.

Thirdly, yes the 1330 runs a hotter than other laptops. I personally attribute this to the fact that the damn thing is tiny. Packing a GeForce 8400 and a 945 ABG wifi card into this small form factor will cause it to heat up quite a bit. I personally find that my 1330 heats up only near the communications bay where the wifi card is. Excessive heating can cause problems but will NOT cause your laptop to shock you. The simple fact that it does not shock you when it's hot but not charging points that the cause of the shock is in fact the AC power being supplied to it. In my honest opinion i think the wiring in your house is to blame. If not that then the next most likely cause of the shocks is the charger.

and you kno what, even my friends working in dell now tell ppl to buy a 1530 instead cos everyone knows of the issues with the 1330's with discrete graphics
