My Laptop and Playbook Stolen :(

I know i should have been more careful with such stuff :(
I was in the middle berth of the Sleeper coach,the bag was kept on the berth beside me near my legs
It was there till morning 3 to 4; i felt it at my legs, i think it got stolen after that and when i woke up at 7:15am it was not there.
There was a Rs 1000 gift card of Central Bank of India,can that be used for tracking the seller ?.
If so how can i do that .

Are there any private tracking agents who could track these stuff ?
 
^ The only option you can opt is to contact your laptop company and register a complain in cyber cell.
 
That is really horrible!! :( I'm so sorry for your loss. That's a lot of stuff to lose suddenly at one go.

I know it doesn't matter now, but you shouldn't have kept the bag near your feet. It could easily be stolen. You should have kept it near your head or best used it as your pillow.

I hate to say this, but like other people mentioned, it's unlikely you will get it back. Also the person who stole it might have got down at any station.
 
Do you have the serial number for Gift Card ? If yes, share the information with police and ask them to contact bank and track if the gift card is claimed.
