well c the problem is I can't get 2 gigs at the same time.... but getting one gig and waiting couple monts will for another one will be better than just adding another older one I guess right

the default is 6, cpu multiplier x fsb gives you the rated cpu speed

in case of 6300, the multiplier is 7 and fsb 266, so 266x7 gives u 1.86, the rated speed of the processor, intrestingly it shows 1.86 gigs in 3dmark,open cpuz again and check what speed the proccy is running at and whats the multi

ohh and howuch did that dfi cost you?

Nice Setup. But why a Allendale with 975X. ?? .But it doesnt matter if u wont OC. btw get a better RAM, C2D are very Memory Hungry.;)

well my Bios date is 7/31/06 the BIOS ID is Glenwood-DG-6A79ID4AC-00 and when I looked on DFI website I didnt find anything newer

Um.. You can see the BIOS version, liek the no. 6** / 7** whatever, when you boot your computer, and the first screen appears.

SOmething like DFI INfinity 975x 703 BIOS... blah blah.. Not sure though, just reboot and check :).

hmm I can't really see anything like that there it all reboots too quickly the only thing i spotted out is C1E BIOS supported but I don't know if thats it

maybe this will tell u the bios
