lol 9800 gx2 is better than 8800 gtx you can get from dealer kmd or phoiex where he is import form usa ;)

or ati 3870 X/2 is enough for 19k

please tell me what card to buy and where can i find this in mumbai. i want a good highend gaming card.

While buying a gfx card, even when you can afford moon, it always pays to be sensible and reasonable. The product refresh rate is very high as far as Gfx cards are concerned so it's always better to buy one card every six month @ Rs 12K each instead of getting one high-end card for Rs 25K in a year.

Also keep in mind the resolution at which you will be playing your games. For example if you have a 22" monitor it does not really justify buying a 9800 GX2 or even 3870X2.

Right now, IMO you should get 9800GTX. It will be somewhere around 20K. This card will run any game at almost full settings on 24" monitor (except crysis).

:hap2:

PS: Jitesh, if you don't mind can you tell how old are you?

@morgoth: heh, crysis runs just fine at 1920x1200 on my 24 LCD (q6600 with 8800gt/512) at 25-30 fps at high settings but AA turned off :P

OT: I feel with your kind of budget you could have gotten a 750GB HDD and 4GB RAM (not to mention the prices - you overpaid for components even more than I did :P)... I saw your post in the GigaByte thread, so good luck, you can get the 9800GX2 from apollyon's dealer (rupam @ AMI) and have fun!

And after all this expenditure, please do not get anything less than a 24 inch LCD!!! :ohyeah:

i have a 19 inch viewsonic lcd with ipod panel + speakers + 3 usb ports (dont know the mode)

i bought gigabyte 9800 gtx card in mumbai for 20500 (all inclusive with bill).
