ok some quick checkup.
first congrats, secondly u didnt told me before :P lol.

what SMPS? i hope this is a good one, will save further investment if u consider a gfx card.
What Ram?

and lastly u cud have tried tht viewsonic vx2025 or w..e
is there any banding issues in 940bw?
 
nah there is no banding issue in this monitor..

and actually i didnt hav plans to buy a monitor.. but mom likes lcds cos they take less space so i took one dat day itself :p n it is very good.. ram is 1 gb ddr 2 gfx card.. not interested in one right now.. cos the inbuilt one has a memory of 128mb..
 
How much is that board anyways?? and my previous question was directed at DuBundi :)
 
err 128 mb gfx card is it for real?
I think it is 128 mb as shared memory is what the chipset uses means ur ram is 512+384 MB.

What is the SMPS??
Samsung monitors are good, vandal has it but while watching normal movies it shows some color issues i've heard not while seeing DVD quality movies though.

Well looking for an economic board for conroe...
The options i have in mind are...
Asus P5LD2-VM SE
Gigabyte 945GM S2
ASrock 775twins hdtv R2.0
and the intel 946gzis
except the as rock board others are around 5k...

The asus board only supports upto 2GB ram...not that i need any more now...but why buy something that doesn't support 4GB???

So the choice i guess is between the Gigabyte and intel board...both have similar features but the intel board is a lot more pleasing to look at :bleh:

My damn design crits is finally ending tom :D...so will probably my new comp the next day...almost the same config as neo's minus the speakers but with a gfx card and hp805

EDIT: the gigabyte board is also a pretty good board for the money...i'll buy whatever i get...
