Car & Bike My old Lancer getting a much needed overhaul

No, the engine is NA as of now so lets assume its putting out its rated 120bhp right now alongwith 175nm torque. Once I go turbo ...
Normally-aspirated rulez! Putting a supercharger vs. turbo, is that too much more work/cost/risk?

Turbocharging or supercharging isn't rocket science but the problem here is resources. You dont get performance parts, there are no tuners and good installers.
Basically, doing a simple turbo setup with low boost and with stock internals isnt very expensive and gives a decent amount of power boost.Lets say a boost of 5-8psi is doable on generally all cars. Its beyond this that you start pushing it if still on stock rods+pistons. If you replace them with stronger forged ones, then you can crank up the boost to even 30 psi if you can depending on the turbo you use and its flow characteristics.
See, installing the parts, making minor modifications to fit them isnt difficult. The really tricky part is the tuning you do on your ECU. Lets just say, tuning is the only difference between a perfectly tuned monstrous engine or a blown engine, its that crucial!

Stage II begins ;)
