some magnetic feild around the monitor perhaps? did u keep any speakers beside ur monitor?

even my montior shakes like that sometimes, happens at random, shakes for like 3 secs and stops...

Check if u have ur ATP3's woofer(satelites are magnetically shielded) near the monitor... also check if u have ur UPS near the monitor...

These 2 things are the major reasons... why monitor shakes..

I got this once due to the UPS.

Even now I have a strange problem. If I twist my monitor around (E-W), then the colours go haywire

I would say this is cuz of serious voltage fluctuations in case it's a fairly new monitor. Else,

It can be also due to EMI inteference, in that case check if you have spread spectrum enabled in your bios, if they are disabled - enable them especially the pcie & cpu one's. Remember, once you enable spread spectrum it is advisable to not o/c your system.

used to happen to me when once a lot of ants got inside the monitor..

Hahaha masky, .....:ohyeah:
I wonder what would shake when the ants are inside the pants ........;)

@ saiyan , is this shaking constant in nature ?? if so then it could be a voltage (power) regulation problem inside ur monitor. most probably a flaky capacitor ......
have the monitor checked at the earliest.( here i presume you have removed all the source of EMI interference as mentioned above by others)

@ kingkrool , changing the monitor orientation can affect the colours in sensitive monitors. this has to do with the earths magnetic field which is in the north - south direction. after changing the direction if you degauss it then the colors return to normal.i vivdly remember reading about it in the manual of my old viewsonic 17E monitor...infact a whole chapter was dedicated to it ....

@aces n DJ.. lol.. naa.. it was the rainy season and a colony of ants thot my monitor was a good place to nest.. :P

had to use Raid (no pun intended) to kill those poor creatures :(..
