PC Peripherals My Shopping List, Any advice

My shopping list for Lamington Road for the coming week

BenQ 1640/1650 which ever is available = 4000/- Estimated
Seagate 160/200 GB which ever came in the buget of 4500/-
USB 2 Card = 450/- or even less
DVD-R Media 5 DIsc = < 500/- estimated.
CD-R 10 DISC = cost <100/-
Last time i got my stuff from Computer Selection, this time i check prices in Prime also.

Any advice regarding Cost, Any suggestion regarding stuff choosen, who is the best an cheapest from Lam Rd :) :anyone:
 
The BenQ would cost u only a max of 3K. DVD-R : Sony @ Rs. 35 / disc ( Spindle ). Seagate 160GB SATA - Rs. 4300. These r the rates in Chennai. Not sure abt. Lammy though. Will not be that much of a difference.
 
I got a ALi chipset USB 2.0 ( 4 port ) card for Rs 300 from Prime. It's real bad, made my system unstable. I tried two drivers V1.57 and v1.59 ( ALi PCI to USB Enhanced Host Controller Driver ). Didn't help. Avoid.
 
dont get a usb 2 card,i saw a guy replace 5 of them until something worked,very unstable n damn crappy,instaed get a usb hub
u get 4 ports 2 use so u cud hook up 4 peripherals at the same time,unless theyre peripheralss that r usb powered ( all 4 at one time,1-2 r ok)

i think this is a cheaper n better buy

available at lammy for 100 -130 bux
 
My MoBo has USB 1.1, I want to upgrade to USB2, becoz of faster transfer rate, in latter. so i dont think USB hub is going to help me in that.

hey rohit... do post prices of the dvd-writer and the dvd spindle here..

me too gonna buy it after exams get over next week...

and if possible .. can you inquire abt a chipset fan ? if its available at lammy..

i need one for my asus - a8n sli deluxe....

its small 2cms.. if not then ask for a 4cm fan.. that would do.
