It was a long time since i took a vacation .
After nearly 1 and a half years of working straight i took what i felt was a well deserved vacation .
I traveled to Gokarna . Its a famous for its beaches , and importance in indian history . it is also considered a muktidham or a place of pilgrimage for hindu folks .
Its sleepy , dull climate and isolated beaches make it an ideal place to chill out . i did nothing else but sleep , eat and roam on the beaches.
There are three main beaches accessible by foot and 1 by boat . all the beaches are beautiful in their own right . Om beach , the most popular is infamous for its rave parties in mid summer and naked sunbathing tourists . a must see for all bachelor folks on TE .
The food is cheap in the city and good too . plenty of places to shack up there including huts on the beach available for as little as 50 rs per night .
