My Utorrent downloads gone??

ive kept around 10 downloads in Utorrent suddenly i decided to format XP partition C today.
with Bitcomet.. i was able to see downloads after the formatting is done
with Utorrent i am not seeing a single downlods!
why this is happening why isnt Utorrent taking unfinished download?
im depressed :( help!!

Yes, I also found this draw-back of uTorrent.

I have to complete 2 downloads + 1 delete, and after that fresh OS setup.
 
If you are using uTorrent, before formatting you'll have to backup the

C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\uTorrent folder because thats where utorrent keep all the settings in the files resume.dat and settings.dat

What you can try is if you still have the unfinished downloads, load the torrent again in utorrent, make sure the torrent is stopped. Right click on the torrent>Advanced>Set download location>point it where you have the unfinished download for that particular torrent.

Then again right click and select Force Re-check.

Howash ...all you have to do is add teh torrent againa nd point to where teh unfinished files are ..it will start from where it last left off...there is NO WAY you would need to download it again .

thanks :bleh: it will take time to download torrent agaqin cause in my downloads & temp folder, bitcomet & utorrent are together. how to find the uncompleted download? i too dont hav good memories of which downloads were there in Utorrent. but i did 1 torrent by Utorrent and it resumes from the place it had stopped. no point of getting the resume.dat file as already formatted :bleh:
 
The most sucky part of utorrent is in case of a power failure. Twice or thrice my power failed and the download window didn't show any downloads. I had to re open the torrents and set the download locations again. I am contemplating changing to Azureus or ABC( though very sucky!!)

No need to identify which torrent was in which client. Remember the basics of torrents, the files are made up of small blocks. U get the torrent files, just start it with any torrent client, put ur directory to download where the unfinished downloaded files are placed. Then force recheck and u r done. For identifying unfinished downloads, well just try to open them, if they dont open they are unfinished. BTW how come u forgot which files u were downloading. Most of us dont download more than 5 torrents simultaneously.
