N-Gage QD White screen of death .. PLz help

Hey ..
i know i am asking for too much .... and i for some eery reason know that
there is no answer for this ...
i have just got the WSOD ( White screen of death ) on my n-gage qd ..
now the problem is that i have arnd 700 contacts on my phone ...
is there any .. and i mean ANY way that i can save those contacts ...
my phone boots up to about 11 secs b4 the white screen appears ...

have u backed up on to the Memory Card?
If u have, then u need worry. Contact details and messages can be recovered.
 
^^ He is right ... Otherwise no other way. Coz they will flash the firmware and it will wipe out everything.

My NGaga QD has been repaired 4 times and replaced once within warranty. That was because i used it extensively for Net through Bluetooth.
 
Yeah i had backed it up .....

but not recently .. even when it boots up for like 11 secs

theres this code *#7370#... if i run that code ...

will my contacts be saved !?!?!?
 
^^ It will not save anything.. It is used for soft formatting. It returns everything to factory settings... But the phone needs to be working even for that...

But i think it only deletes messages and stuff but contacts remain. Dont know for sure.

Does restore factory setting on Nokia Symbian mobile leave contacts as it is ??? If anyone has done it and remembers please post... Coz i dont remember for sure...
 
wht i would suggest is tht u try saving up contacts on the PC using the PC suite, if that dosent work.. u can ask the Nokia people to try and save ur contacts when the reload the firmware...
 
if u can sync in 11sec through pc suite then all the contacts will be stored in outlook and u can format the phone and add them from outlook to the phone again.
 
yeah ... lol ... syncing it in 11 sec's gunna be a pain ...

but lets try it out ...

yeah Ice i think that ll be my only hope of saving my contacts ...

will make up some sad ass story so that they help me save my contcts

does this WSOD appear only in N-Gage only or does it happen in all symbian

phones !!! coz me thinking of buying a new one .. coz of this shit and i have many options too !!
 
My nokia 1108 once went kaput. When I switched it on it showed blank screen with white backlight....you can say it WSOD :P
 
sweet then it happens only in nokia phones ...

then me going the SOny errickson way ..

stupid nokia made me loose 6 months of work !!!!
 
it will happen in any phone if the firmware is buggy. once my friends samsung phone just switched off and it wouldnt switch on. it did switch on after an hour but all the data and contacts were lost :P
 
sweet !! that means i am going back to my good ol' 3310 !!

no OS .. no buggy shit ... yes snake 2 .. old school :P
