N95 starts shipping!

At one time I used to be excited about phones, right from 6681 to E861 to N73, I remember eagerly waiting for the N73 and bought it for 26k as soon as it arrived. I have been tracking the N95 but now increasingly find myself questioning the value of spending over 20k on a phone, don't you guys feel somehow we are being taken for a ride, I mean if you think of 20k outside the context of a phone and what you can do with it in terms of electronics and other purchases the phone seems way overpriced for the value it delivers. I don't know, maybe its just me but I am not spending another 20k+ unless its really compelling. Apart from gps and a larger screen I don't see a reason to switch to N95 and we can't really use gps properly in India, can we. Ok the camera is 5mp but the 3.2 N73 camera is adequate for the time being. I don't even use the functions anymore, I have given up trying to use the net on the phone because of screensize and squinting, I am bit bored of the games and I hardly use the phone for music. Come to think of it I just use it as a phone. Maybe I am just becoming old. That's scary.

yeah man, its like one goes to buy a N95, and then says i dont wanna use any of its features...then the fault is urs and not of the company...unless u keep that phone for showing off :P

@ Soulfire.. 41k in grey?? r u sure abt tht.. i just spoke to a dealer and he said the phone will b arriving next week and he quoted a price of Rs.34700 all inclusive.. with bill and warranty. He said he can gimme the phone by next week.

That's a damn good intro price goku...let's hope its this way. Should decrease by around 10K over the next 4-5 months...I see the N73ME @ 16K soon :ohyeah:

a bit off topic .. its abt n73me.. i had k750i .. and then thought abt getting a symbian phone so got n73me ..

personally its very good allrounder phone .. but the only thing i liked abt it is, its screen and camera ( daylight photos ) .. and that application called smart movie player ..:) makes it a good timepass during load sheddings..

Do you guys think it is wise to go in for N73 now or wait till N95 launches and hope for a price drop. It's just that i've waited for so many months and really want to get it probably by June.

well goku 41k is the current price ,its the ROYALTY fee u pay, well u never know how much it would launch at here but34k is a price hei s firing in the air, until a retail piece arrives anybody can say anything about the prices , anyways i jus read about 7 reviews of the fone

batt life sux only if u keep ur gps on,ur batt wont even last a full day, if u turn gps off it lasts a good 3 days

if it comes with maps for India, then yes it would be very useful...HP already has a GPS phone that works very well and comes preloaded with maps of the four metros...

@ Soulfire.. i think the price will definitely b arnd the 35k mark here.. coz i read tht its on sale for 750$ in US, unlocked. Anyways, we'll get to knw in another week.. coz according to the dealer, its gonna b out on 15th or 16th of this month.

And ya.. i too read the reviews.. everyones sayin tht the battery last abt 16-18 hrs on moderate to heavy usage and i read everywhere that the loudspeaker is really really loud.

The speakers are unreasonably loud, in a good way, for a device of this side -- as loud as the Samsung K5 with external speakers
