I'm based in Mumbai and looking to get 2 SIM cards (both numbers from the same operator).

I want to know if there is any telecom company offering free inter-network calling (domestic)?

It does not matter if it's on pre or post paid. My ONLY requirement is free (or as low call rate as possible) between these 2 numbers.

Everything else (low STD rates, Free SMS/minutes etc) are of least importance.

Also, these 2 SIM cards would be new connections, and not MNP, so please do not mention those deals.
Thanks,
Nishant

BSNL had some Jodi Offer running some while back.

I think it is still available. Check it out.

Link: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.

Special Mobile "Pyari Jodi Plan"-Now you can get one 2G mobile connection (Postpaid or prepaid) free of cost-Call unlimited free to one BSNL fixed line / WLL (fixed / limited mobility) number in his/her own name

This may sound like a noob question, but does BSNL have operations in mumbai/navi mumbai or is it on roaming on MTNL's n/w?

I live in mumbai, how would i go about the whole process of buying and using a BSNL sim?

Dude my suggestion wouldd be to take a reliance cdma connection(prepaid) and the second can be of any type(Reliance GSM or CDMA)
recharge with Rs.299/- and get unlimited local calls from your cdma number to any reliance number(GSM or CDMA) plus 30 local minutes daily to other network

Recharge with Rs.599/- and get the above scheme for STD(Unlimited R2R and 30 Std minutes free daily)

I am enjoying that 599 plan

Do you work somewhere ? Check if Airtel/Vodafone have some sort of CUG running for your company. If yes, buy both connections in your name, then calls between these two will be free.

BSNL does not have operations in circles where MTNL operates i.e. Mumbai and Delhi

I already am on a corporate plan on Vodafone. But as per company rules, I cant take another SIM on my name. Hence I need Airtel/Idea.

Yes...look for CUG...in my company, Vodafone provides free calling between CUG numbers...
Even I'm on CUG from Vodafone on my corporate plan. I need these 2 SIMs for personal use and redundancy planning. Hence looking for alternative network, but with CUG benefits.

OT - How's Airtel's network/service in Mumbai?

Airtel's network is good but people seem to have trouble with the CC.

I had an extra card from Airtel once and gave up on them due to the incessant balance deductions for some stupid schemes that I had never requested or wanted!! :@

What?? :O

Sorry... I didn't know this... Are u sure??
no BSNL in Mumbai and Delhi, these 2 metros come under mtnl (which is part of BSNL :P)

as for topic.

Vodafone offered me a new connection which i took.

monthly rental 150 which is for 2 services.

one is for free calling 24x7 unlimited to one vodafone number and other is for 10p calling to other 3 vodafone numbers.

both numbers need not have free calling as one can always missedcall other to indicate need for call :P

visit vodafone gallery for info as i'm not sure i this plan is readily available for masses. may just be a special sheme.
