I'm making this post on behalf of my friend. He wants a 32" LCD TV for living room. It will be served either the regular "Cable" signal or a DTH input. As he ain't gonna hook up a console or PC or any other form of HD media playing device, I told him to go for a Non-HD LCD TV. Now please tell me a 32" model which is:

  1. Best (Performance wise)
  2. Cheapest( He is a Baniya after all ;) )

He'll buy it probably from Chandigarh so Chandigarh user's input appreciated.

I just got a Sony Bravia 32" W550A 1080p which was for 47k, yesterday. Its stunning.

There are one similar model, which looks and performs close enuf, 32" V400A which is for 36k. It has 1376*740 or somethin[720p]. I think it has good vfm. Got 2*HDMI, dsub, RF, and analog video, component, composite etc.

@OP well for normal cable get the sonys lcds with BE3 like KLV-32S550A,alternately a samsung 32B450A is also a better buy then the panasonic and sharp models.they both have better contrast and image processing, sony just a bit better in upscaling.sony again as better sound quality compared to the samsung and panasonics.

Well, its original price is 58k. Here in Kerala, its Onam festival period, so mass discount for most products including Sony, LG, Samsung etc.
I got it from Sony showroom:bleh:

well thats a good deal, never knew sony would offer that much of a discount, considering their uniform pricing policy.
