I assume you have .avi files.

Well, what I do is to first BUY a serial key for the Nero DVD Video Plug In.

Just go to the NERO site and buy it.... enter your credit card details (Indian cards accepted) and soon you will get a mail from them with a new serial key which will unlock the DVD Video Plug IN.

Then quite simply, open Nero and click on DVD Video.

And drag and drop .avi files. !!

Agreed!
But VSO ConvertXtoDVD has matchless quality.. It might not be as good as CCE encoded but still is great!:p I recommend it.

The only downside of the software was it's bad menu functionalities. Hope it's improved in the coming versions!;)
 
I know its supposed to take long but this is ridiculous... VSO shows 5 hours for a 2 1/2 hour movie...!!

Isn't there a faster way??

I use the latest Nero Vision and it works like a charm. The whole process (converting from divx to DVD MPEG-2) is seamless and takes about an hour and a half. Of course, machine specifications make a big difference to the time required for encoding.
