CPU/Mobo Need a Conroe news thread... :P

Funny thing is, the highlight of AT's Pentium EE 965 review is the last page titled "Looking Ahead, the Conroe Comparison" where a Conroe E6700 @ 2.66GHz beats the FX-60 and Pentium EE 955/965 LOL! And if it's true that list price for the E6700 will be $530, man, 2006 will be a great year.... talk about watercooling this beast and overclocking it to 3GHz or higher

Itll go to 4+ Ghz on Water surely.

The 2.66 Ghz Conroe went to 5.2 Ghz in the Intel Labs.

So we can expect 4 Ghz atleast .

If I remember right, the Conroe EE series cpu hit 5GHz - this is not an EE, but I'll even settle for 3.6ghz

Uhmmm... if you were trying to rub it in re: prescott, it worked, but I use a G5 at office so I'm not starved dude Besides, based on the stock speed and performance of that Conroe, I'd say a 1ghz OC is good.
