By the way I almost forgot to tell you my first night ordeal of the x64 Vista installation.
Well the driver problem literally fu*d me in the ass.
The Windoes installed flawlessly in about 30 mins, then came the time to install drivers.
The Asus Board did it all. The drivers in the cd weren't meant for the X64 Vista, which I comfortably overlooked and installed, and then the system refused to boot after restarting. Ok, booted from vista DVD and restored the system. checked the drivers on the Asus Site, well They ask you what your OS is, They accpet Vista 64 as your OS but the MFers still give you the same drivers that are there in the cd, acting the very same way. had almost given up, cause by this time i had restored the system about 10 times and was about 4 am after shopping the whole day in Nehru place for the PC of my dreams (LOL) i was god damned exhausted. Well thanks to my best buddy who was with me thru all this troubleshooting we could go on. In the end after all these tries, we tried the original manufacturer's sites, like realtek for sound, Atheros for LAN, and Intel for INF. Well, it finally worked, though INF i couldnt figure on intel's site, so i never installed it. Anyways... Kudos to Palit for including drivers that actually worked, on the vista even though in the OS description it didnt even say Windows Vista, let alone Vista 64 Bit. Though Since i had such a bad experience with device drivers I dlded the latest drivers of the Gfx Card as well from ati meant for the Vista x64 OS.
Well anyone who buys the P5q Pro and wants to install Vista 64 Bit, please when u come home and want to start installing your OS and Drivers, just toss the Asus CD out the window, Its got Absolutely NO USE! Download the drivers like I did, and No I dont mean the asus site. They're the bigger idiots than the people who compiled the cd for them.
Signing off!
Very happy with the Pcs performance, I got 12394 Points on 3dmark 06 without any sort of CPU or GPU OCing.
Also BTW, the reviews on the net, I read abt the Palit 4850, I saw a DVI to HDMI converter as well along side the standard converter for the monitor, well it wasnt there in my pack, and i had personally opened the packaging so no point of it being taken out before hand.
