Need a good fiber router

I am currently using an ont connected to my 100mbs tp-link router and then to my tp-link wireless mesh units. I need a good fiber router. I tried local shops and they did not have one that supports a 1Gigabit wireless net or they had no idea of the lan ports speed as well. I searched amazon and found none. Can please guide where to purchase these online if possible or which shop should I go to in Thane or Mumbai.

have you checked mercusys love their routers, im using mr90x connected via the 2.5gbps port to a tplink xc220 gpon router.

Ideally, get the fibre router from your ISP, and put the wireless mesh units (assuming its Decos) in bridge mode.

Why do you want to change the router BTW?

I'm not clear on your setup. Do you mean you have something like this:

Incoming fiber line ---> [TP-Link ONU+Router combo unit with 100mbps LAN ports] ---> [TP-Link mesh units in Router or AP mode]

And want to replace the ONU+Router unit with a better one? If the ONU is separate, you can just connect it directly to one of the mesh units and set it to router mode.

Else, Check out FGTech. I have not purchased from them myself but some other TE members seem to have used it before. See the following listings.

TP-Link XZ000-G7 1-Port Gigabit XPON Terminal ONU/ONT
TP-Link XC220-G3 AC1200 Wireless XPON Router
TP-Link XC220-G3v AC1200 Wireless VoIP XPON Router
TP-Link XX530v AX3000 Dual Band Wi-Fi 6 GPON Router

Its because I don't trust my local service provider. They said You cant to do any changes like port forwarding on other changes to the router provided by them and will not give me username and password for the router. That's I wanted my own fibre router.

What do you need port forwarding for?

Change the ISP if they wont allow you to make any changes like WiFi or LAN settings.

Best take a static IP plan, they will charge you something like 3K extra yearly, but you should be able to do port forwarding plus more.

If you're locked out of router settings by your ISP, your best bet is getting a TP-Link XPON/GPON ONU with router functionality like the XC220-G3v or XX530v (Wi-Fi 6). Check FGTech or PrimeABGB for availability online. Also, confirm if your ISP supports XPON or GPON before buying – compatibility matters more than brand.

I wish I could kick out the ISP's router. JioFiber user. :'(
