Need a laptop at 30k

Please suggest a laptop [for my friend]

Budget - 20-31K. Strictly max is 31k.

Screen size - 15.5"

When it comes to lappies, I can only think of Dell :eek:hyeah:

BTW, I am thinking it would be priced very slightly above 31k if you buy it from a Dell Reseller rather than a Dell gallery. Otherwise, the Dell India website shows the price as 33.9k

always had some of my friends complaining about the quality of acer laptops..how good is the build quality of this acer laptop?

Even i have a Acer after Dell. The quality is strictly okaish. But has good h/w for the price on offer.

Neway, it was a good decision to get the Dell. Super sturdy and super ASS.

For Laptops , i never gone anywhere else other than ASUS.I currently own 3 of them but you know quality comes at a price.My EEE PC provides me 12+ hours of battery backup. :)

G560's touch pad seems to be horrible (close to worst :p ) Even i had a choice between the two and decided to go with the Acer.

Battery is Okish. With wi-fi off we can use it for close to 3 hrs or so with moderate brightness.

Also keep in mind that the Acer's mono speakers is not that great. Movie experience will suck big time. Heap phones usage highly recommended. That said it will suffice for a Youtube playback.

31k seems pretty high for that Acer. I guess it sells for ~29k. Check couple of other stores. For 33k you can get almost similar Dell config with original Windows 7, better build, better speakers and great A.S.S.

I went with the Acer coz i got it from US for $400 ;)
