Thinkpad Yoga will have a crappy screen I'm sure. Why don't you wait 2-3 months ? This is probably the worst time to buy a new laptop as Ivybridge models will be out by around April or May. Even SE successor maybe. So if you can wait, I'd say wait for the new 2012 Vaio range and also what other manufacturers bring to the table.

It's an IdeaPad not a ThinkPad

So might not really be as solid as a ThinkPad. The Yoga screen is a 1600x900 one & looks fairly decent from the youtube vids. So not sure about the crappy part.

For 1Lac, I'd save some money & get a ThinkPad X220 from the US. My colleagues are using one & it's brilliant overall + the standard 6 cell battery gives a 6-9 hour backup

Thats the MRP, you can easily get around 5% discount on sony vaio laptops.
