I have an AMD 64X2 4400+ @2.31 GHz and 2x1GB 667MHz Ram.
My current motheboard is an ASUS M2N MX SE and has been giving loads of problems so i want to change it and get a new one(preferrably one in which i can OC my processor too). Please suggest some motherboards and their prices.
Thanks in advance.

PS need it fast. CPU Crashes twice a day !!!(Somedays it never crashes and somedays it crashes more than twice)
Also have a HD 4670 DDR3 edition.

Are you sure it is the Mobo and not the PSU?

Yeah i am sure its the motherboard and not the psu. THis motherboard has been giving a lot of problems. Already servicd it once!!!!!!!!!!And still so many problems..............

Second hand 780 chipset based MB would be your best bet otherwise in 3k range you can get Gigabyte GA-MA74GM-S2.

Get Asus M2A MX @ 2200 if you want to overclock in lowest possible budget.ASUS M2A 68 AM Plus board is strict no to OC otherwise its decent board supporting almost every AMD CPU including AM3 quads.

Avoid buying nvidia chip set based AMD board if you are into OC.

Ok i am thinking about the gigabyte GA-MA74GM-S2. board but how much would i be able to overclock it to?????????is is it possible to go upto 2.8Ghz???on air cooling??

AMD 65nm X2 seems to touch the roof at bout 2.8 to 2.9ghz, mainly not coz of high temps but it seem its limit.

ive owned two X2 in past and both cudnt make above 2.9ghz, though temps were OK.
