Cool...let me know how is it...Also anything good available in US can ship a 2.1....

You don't need a Amp for a set of self powered bookshelves like the Audioengines, but a good sound card will obviously improve the SQ.

lol @ sarang. even I'd forgotten that one :P

techmaster, you have the option of buying a 4.5k soundcard(sonar DX) +10.5k speakers or 14k speakers and a 1k sound card( SB live) . I'd suggest the latter :) unless you plan to upgrade the speakers at a later date

I think the a2's are really good for most music except downtuned rock(Kyuss,Sleep) and bass heavy music like ebm(Combichrist) etc. It does ok for stuff with some beats(like bjork) but anything lower makes them vibrate too much.

One thing I didn't like about them was the finish which gets scratches and smudge very easily. The scratches look awful on it. Definitely not for rough handling.

If portability isn't a concern and no problem with neighbors them imo the mx-5021 is a better choice considering it being cheaper by about 3.5k.

Planning to couple a CA azur amplifier with one of the bookshelves like Klipsch, wharfedale diamonds or polkaudio any suggestions ...Might stretch my budget....need the best value for money
