Hey guys!!

Really need some advice immediately...

Please suggest me a graphics card within the 100-200$ range... have persuaded my uncle ( in U.S ) to get one for me... :ohyeah:

Please dont tell me to wait for dx10 cards.. not so much into games... jus the occasional game once in a while... also installed vista...:cool2:

Checked out newegg n found the Sapphire x1950 PRO for around 150$ and Leadtek / EVGA 7900 gs for around 160$ ... dont want to spend more than this..

Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100176L Radeon X1950PRO 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card - Retail

Newegg.com - Leadtek WinFast PX7900GS TDH 256MB Geforce 7900GS 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card - Retail

Newegg.com - EVGA 256-P2-N624-AR GeForce 7900GS 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 KO Video Card - Retail

Really confused as to whether go for ATI or stick with NVIDIA... Heard that there were some heating concerns regarding the x1950 pro...

Secondly, also need advice on the PSU.. presently got the i-ball grabit cabinet n the supplied PSU which is supposed to be useless if I install a graphics card...

Requesting all the GURUS of techenclave to give advice fast!!

Any links will be helpful too...

PS: If it is reqd, my rig is-

e6300 @ 2.04 ghz

1gb transcend @533 mhz

asus p5ld2 - VM SE

X1950Pro will be better overall ... but the 7900gs will beat it in open gl games ... also the x1950 run's hotter, doesn't oc much(compared to 7900gs), and require more power

Preferably from the U.S if it is cheaper and better there... Suggestions needed...

I too am liking the x1950 PRO better but many people at newegg have complained about the heating issues regarding it... So, which PSU should I pick up?? Please give me a link too if possible...

Yeah it will be cheaper if you get it from US but it's worth the extra dough you pay for the local warranty and peace of mind

You could get the powersafe 500watt for 2.5k odd if you are on a really tight budget .
