Arrey yaar, he just asked for our suggestions on PSU. Read his post correctly. So why comment on his UPS. Chill.

He is here for suggestion. And i won't find any bad thing suggesting him right components. :bleh:

Why you are so interested in delving into what i suggest to OP? Just take some rest and broaden your thinking. :cool2:

lol, Sumchamp has just pointed out the obvious. If he has to upgrade the PSU(which is quite evident from the config and also considering a bit more future proofing),that UPS must also be upgraded IMHO.Its not a matter of answering to the point alone esp since Sumchamp ain't getting paid for that :D

Hi frnds thanx for responds ...here i'm in a limited budget..

if i'm goin for greater smps like 650 nd all..i will hav 2 go for grter UPS also(as sumchamp suggested )which i cant afford.:(

So that if Vx450 will support ma rig it will b cool...otherwise i will b forced 2 expand budget :(

one more thing... i'm not going 2 do overClock

[mod]Please avoid repeated bumping of the thread and creating multiple threads for the same query.[/mod]

if that vx450 is enough for this config, then why shud i go for a glacial Pwr 650!?

*is vx450 is really enough for my p.c!!?:S

thanx...

There are two kinds of enough. One for your current config(even if you OC to 3.5GHz and add another HDD) and another for future upgrade. A VX450 can handle your rig efficiently and the optimal. but if you plan to overclock you i7 to 4GHz+ and add multiple HDD and higher power hungry GFX card than GTX275, then consider Glacialpower 650AA/HS520/VX550. You can also buy TX650,HX620 etc if you have the money to spend. But you really won't be using more than 400-425W.

I recommend the Sea sonic 500 for 5k. ( They say VX450 is Sea sonic 500 OEM ) :) Though Corsair give you 5yrs warranty where vs 3 yrs of Sea sonic.

try to find out Cooler Master Real Power pro 550W if around 5k.

thanx for ur valuable responds ..i wont b overclocking it..i may add couple of ram or Hard disks in future.:)

Try to get the Sea sonic 500W then, if under strict budget, VX450 will serve your perpose. It has been observed that VX450 can deliver upto 570W at peak. :)

If you are seriously into Maya, then Quadro FX 580 is a smart buy. Its as fast as the prev gen Quadro FX 1700 which was a stable midrange card couple of years back. Best VFM card for DCC/CAD users IMO.

I’d suggest the latest AMD Phenom II X4 965 on a 790FX chipset based MoBo with as much RAM as you can put in.

Go in for the ATI FireGL V5600 for amazing workstation graphics experience.

I guess it is too late to caution him from buying a quadro card. But the truth is, unless you are going in for a pretty high end quadro these fx 570/580 thingies are not going to help in any way. A lot of 3d novices simply assume that their output is going to increase phenomenally just by using a pro card. I don't know if that is the right direction to take at all, especially if you are just beginning to go professional or starting from scratch.
These cards will not help you in the rendering process - another misconception that most newbies toy with - that it will help faster renders.

Where it would help is when you have scenes with millions of polys or so many lines that your viewport is barely crawling. Well, spending a lot of money for a better viewport refresh is not likely to be a good idea. Further, if you are a beginner, I have no idea what amateur scene could cause your viewport to turn sluggish. Enthusiasm sometimes causes caution to take a back seat when starting out as 3d artistes. Just my thoughts, so if it sounds like I am sermonising or overcautious do forgive me. And if you are an established 3d artist I guess I will look forward to your creations :) Good luck,
