PC Peripherals need all-in-one printer for 3k

hi guys,

I need new all-in-one printer for 3k as my 5 yrs old canon mp180 has stopped working. I wont take canon again as new cartridge prices r very high.

I have heard epson tx121 is good but i read somewhere that all the cartridges should be filled for the printer to work, is it so ? I m asking this bcoz i wont be changing the colour cartridges when they are emptied.

Plz suggest all-in-one printer.
 
Epson TX121. Get refillable cartridges. you can simply refill them by opening the cap and pouring ink. Much more cost effective than HP in which refilling can be a pain in the ass.
 
In terms of features/quality, there won't be much difference. But the Epson is very easy to refill. If you plan to buy original cartridges, the HP is as good. but if you plan to refill the ink, get the epson one.
 
I agree with manu, I have T13 that T121's cousin - scanner. I got mine T13's cartridge fitted with CISS from Powertec Electronics and there is no looking.

Remember the old yamaha ad? Fill it, shut it, forget it? Thats what the CISS is all about. CISS cost me about 1.5k and I have taken out so many printouts that I don't even care to remember. If you want CISS go for Epson 121.
